Shark Species
Sir Finn and the Sharks play acoustic music, focusing on surf instrumentals, with other 50's and 60's tunes thrown in for good measure.
Sir Finn - lead vocals, direction, motivation
What can you say about Sir Finn? Enigmatic, elusive, seldom seen, always feared.
When He shows up, small children run, men stand in front of their women, fathers
hide their daughters. Luckily for the tip jar, he doesn't show up often. As the
boss man, he has no equal, nor any nay-sayers. At least, not for long. For long-standing service to the empire, Queen Elizabeth knighted Johnny Finn. Or at least, that's his story. Some say that some mention of "chicken a la queen" was made...
Day Griffin - dobro, harmonica
Day is well-known in the greater Sacramento area for his Irish band, Griffin.
In Sir Finn, he has found a leader that he can follow! The music played by the
Sharks is water music - songs that evoke the ocean, that soothe the soul. Day's
dobro gives the sound of the waves.
Andy Wallace - mandolin, guitar, vocals, surprises
Andy has been in several little-known bands in the Bay area (The Rocket
Scientists, Tinnitus Creak), but found a home far from the ocean with Sir Finn.
His heartfelt vocals and ringing mandolin provide the chop on the waves. Sir Finn
pulled him out of the ocean, scuba gear and all, to come play with the Sharks.
Tom Jankowski - guitar
Tom hadn't been in a band since his teens when Sir Finn made the offer,
but he jumped at the chance to play the songs he loved in his youthful adventures
into rock and roll. His guitar provides the foundation for the group's music,
the roll of the surf.
